Back to the grind

Got back from Hong Kong last Sunday. I must admit that I had a great time in Hong Kong. The days flew by so quickly that before I knew it, it was time to pack and leave the hotel. The weather was perfect - Sunshine throughout my entire stay and not a drop of rain unlike the endless evening downpours in KL. We stayed at the J.W.W Marriott at Pacific Place. There was a huge mall and MTR station below the hotel. It was easy to travel around on the trams and MTR. The regional course I attended was fantastic - I met many people whom I have been corresponding via e-mail and it was great to finally put a name to a face. The course was held at the Landmark complex, which was surrounded by shops, from the largest Armani store ( which was a building by itself) in Asia, the first Harvey Nichols store outside the UK, and the original Shanghai Tang shop. It also housed the four-floor Gucci store, plus Cartier, Chanel, Dior, Dunhill, Fendi, Lanvin, Louis Vuitton, Tiffany, Valentino, Vivienne Tam etc.

The food in Hong Kong was awesome. I had dinner at the Art Deco which was located at The Peak and some of my HK colleagues took me to this cool restauarant in Lan Kwai Fong called Club Qing as well. I managed to sample many local cuisine along the way after my course as well.

My course finished on Friday at noon and thereafter, my mom and I were off to Mong Kok and Tsim Sha Tsui. To me the place was just really Petaling Street on a bigger scale. I wasn't too impressed with the place and partly because most of the shops were closed. In the end, I decided to head to Causeway Bay which turned out to be a great place to shop. I bought loads of stuff from G2000 cos' the suits and clothes were a lot cheaper than Malaysia plus I got a RM300 discount for my purchases. I didn't manage to get to Time Square though.

And of course, like I said before my spending went into overdrive when I hit Disneyland on my last day. Despite being a Saturday, the theme park was far from being crowded. I managed to get on all the rides and stuff but spent the majority of my time hunting for goodies to bring back for Jeremy from the shops there.

I got him clothes, a cute hat, a tiny windbreaker, a Pooh baby pouch, a Mickey Mouse doll and a Fantasia Hat ( Mickey's Sorcerer's Cap - my most expensive purchase and it won't fit him till he's about 2, I think)

*sigh* I wish I had more dosh to buy some more stuff for him :) . Now it'a back to the daily humdrum.

Such cute stuff you brought back. Can't wait for Zach to be old enough to bring him to Disneyland myself.

Chocklit - best time to bring him is before he turns 7 cos all the rides with the exception of Space Mountain are really kiddy rides!

Huisia/Jazzmint/Shannon - yeah, there have so many stuff in Disneyland much of which were catered to girls!!!!! Those of you with daughters will definitely go nuts in those shops if you know what I mean. They had hairclips, cute minnie mouse hairbands, sunglasses, little tote bags for girls and cinderalla type dresses complete with the wand and everything!

IMMomsDaughter - None but had to sit on my luggage bag in order to zip it up. *lol*
