Since my last entry......

I have been pretty busy wrapping up work and stuff lately - yeah right?? Okay the truth is ... being a typical Gemini, I tend to take up new activities enthusiastically like creating a cool looking blog but given my constant need for new interests, I'm always - "flitting from project to project purposelessly as a butterfly dancing from flower to flower". Good excuse huh? Okay, the real truth is or the crux of the matter is I have become so darn lazy since the Hari Raya hols - I guess you could say that the festive spirit has yet to left yours truly. Plus - my Rm1700 canon ixus camera decided it was time to go on a strike of all weeks! So I couldn't capture any new shots of Jeremy doing his new acrobats and grinning like a Chesire Cat! Plus I decided to catch up some movies I missed like in the last 4 months. I bought a couple of DVDs last nite but only managed to finish one. Being a sucker for romantic movies, i decided that I just had to watch this one called The Lake House starring Keanu Reeves and Sandra Bullock. It was released like the weekend after I gave birth to Jeremy. If you guys have watched Frequency, its the girly version of this movie if you get my drift. The story is simple, appealing and heartwarming: two people fall in love by corresponding through a mailbox at a lake house. The problem is, Sandra Bullock is living in 2006 while Keanu Reeves is living in 2004. Plus there is a strange twist to it all in the end when you piece the events all together. Anyway, the only downside about the movie was Keanu Reeves was slated in to replace John Cusack (who in my view is a much better actor - check out Serendipity) as the latter had other movie commitments.

The other DVDs which I bought were:-
a) Click (I'm a sucker for Adam Sandler)
b) The Break Up (I only bought this cos I thought Vince Vaugh was so darn hilarious in the Wedding Crashers)
c) You, Me & Dupree (I only bought this cos I thought Owen Wilson was ALSO so darn hilarious in the Wedding Crashers)

Have any of you watched these movies? If you have - it will be nice if you could give me a brief review of what you think before I get down to watch them next week when I'm back from Hong Kong.

Yeah - I'm going to Hong Kong this Tuesday and back only on Sunday - so no new posts till then. Apart from the regional training course which I will be involved in, I will be pretty much trapizing Hong Kong to visit the following touristy places:-
a) Madame Tussaud ( I missed the one in London cos the queques were so darn long)
b) Disneyland ( I bet it isn't as good as the one I went to in Anaheim, LA but I wanna get loads and loads of stuff for Jeremy - I think its the guilty conscience working in overdrive since I'll be pretty much an absent parent for 6 days!)
c) OceanPark
d) Tsim Sa Tsui

The irony of it all is that despite being a Cantonese, I can't even speak the darn language after staying in KL for almost a decade. I guess I'll just have to rely on my mom to be my intepreter.

Have a good trip! I love Hong Kong! Do post pics of what u bought from Disneyland so we can drool. Heh!

I like romantic comedy too (but not the slapstick kind).
Click: Better than I expected. Funny with a "message" (which is typical Adam Sandler i think?)
The Break Up: Surprisingly good as well. Accurate portrayal of relationships.
