ShoeBox Mentality

I have never been one of those who would diligently collate stamps or receipts or whatever to redeem a gift or get a discount. I find the entire exercise tedious and just too time consuming except when it comes to book receipts cos I need those to lower my income taxes *lol*. However, I couldn't help repeating the exercise when I saw the plush toys offered by Guardian Pharmacy to commemorate 80th anniversary celebration of Winnie the Pooh and Friends. I was so adamant in getting one for Jeremy that I started collecting the stamps with a trip to Guardian almost every other week either to get his diapers or his milk formula. Mom and sis chipped in with the stamps as well and finally, we managed to get all the 25 stamps needed to redeem him a Winnie the Pooh soft toy. Since he already have Tigger, I'm hoping to collect enough stamps by July to redeem Eeyore for him.

Besides that, as a Wyeth Gold Club member I have also started collecting the measuring scoops to redeem the gifts available in their catalogue. One scoop is equivalent to 10 points! I'm hoping to redeem some for the Fisher Price and Lego toys which is on the catalogue. It's worth it don't you think? At least I dun have to fork out extra to get him toys and other educational stuff. Oh but it is tedious and still a long way to go considering the fact that these items of worth hundreds of points. He would have to consume like 40 tins of milk before I can get him something! *lol*
