27-28 Months

Jeremy's vocabulary has grown leap and bounds in the last 2 months. He can string 4 word sentences together. A typical conversation with him could be like the following:
Jeremy: (pointing to the water stain on the ceiling) Ceiling dirty. What happened? Eek Eek...
Mummy: What color is it?
Jeremy: Brown
Mummy: What shape is the dirt?
Jeremy: Circle. Clean eek eek...

And just the other day he was decribing the "light flickering" in the distance to Brain. We don't even know where or how he picked up the word Flicker?

For a 2 year old he certainly love books. He gets excited everytime we walk into a bookstore and likes to look at the books situated at the kids' corner of the store. Bedtime stories are a must before he drifts into dreamland. No night is complete without a story about Mickey, Pooh bear and Tigger, Cookie Monster or Roary the Car. It doesn't matter whether I have read the story to him like a couple of 100 times before, he still likes me to read it again night after night. In fact, after listening to the same story like a gazillion times, he could tell his version of how the story should go as well. He particularly like the Sesame Street DVDs that we bought for him. His favourite Sesame Street puppet is none other than Cookie Monster so much so that when he can't see the moon in the sky, he thinks that Cookie Monster has eaten the moon! He likes Elmo and Grover too but not as much as Cookie Monster. He doesn't mind The Count and likes to imitate his evil laugh when starting counting from 1 to 10. He likes his Thomas and Friends die-cast set that I bought for him recently and plays with them endlessly during lunch and dinner

He is also getting very cheeky. Although he knows his Chinese and Christian names, he prefers to be addressed an Nan Nan ( Milk). He will say things like Nan Nan drink Nan Nan. Nan Nan drive car and other silly things. In fact, even though he know my name and that of his father, he will sometimes call us Nan Nan Mummy and Nan Nan Daddy - which is really weird... I guess he is just going through a phase.

We just took him to Singapore during the long Raya Break. Brain and myself will be off to Bali for a Management Conference next weekend and right after we come back we are taking him to Hong Kong. So we will be doing Bali and Hong Kong in a space of a week!. That's a lot of travelling. Well, as you may have guessed, main objective for the trip to Hong Kong is really to visit Disneyland and since the park is not very big, it seemed like an ideal location for him. Orlando and Anaheim would just have to wait...

Ooh...another Thomas fan in the making? Interesting how different kids like different characters from the same show. Lucas loved Elmo but I think Cookie Monster is more appealing now (due to his messiness!)

You should love Hong Kong Disneyland now as the weather's cooler already :)
