Weighty Issues

With trepidation, I stepped onto the bathroom scales again this morning after a 2 weeks hiatus. I couldn't believe it. My weight is still the same! Not a single ounce was lost despite running up and down the stairs and caring for Jeremy which pretty much takes up all my energy and time these days. After 3 months and I still haven't gotten back to my pre-pregnancy weight. I gained approximately 30 pounds during my pregnancy and manage to lose only 22 pounds. I still have another stubborn 8 pounds to go! Plus I can't fit into any of jeans/slacks anymore - my hips are the size of Africa which begs the question - can I still fit into an Economy Class seat? I have tried sit ups and moving my hips constantly in a bid to shed the extra pounds but they don't appear to work.

I don't know where all those extra pounds came from. It's not like I had constant cravings during my pregnancy - I pretty much ate same portion before and during my pregnancy although I remember having loads of burgers and milkshakes from Mackers during my first trimester but that was becos they were the only thing I could eat without throwing up ( I had morning sickness for almost 8 weeks!).

I was pretty confident that I could get back into all my office attire when my maternity leave ended but when I tried my clothes on the afternoon before I was scheduled to return to office, I found that I couldn't fit into any of my skirts or pants! I panicked and made my hubby drive me to 1 Utama for a quick spot of shopping! All the clothes I bought on that day were all size L! I was a size M before my pregnancy. I didn't buy that many office attire as I was still hoping that I could still fit into my old ones after a month or two.

*sigh* I still can't fit into my old office attire now - I wish I was slim and svelte again! I dun know all the celebrities do it - I mean look at Heidi Klum, she's like pregnant with her 3 child in 3 years and still look awesome. Gwyneth Paltrow still look so skinny after having baby Moses. Not to mention Victoria Beckham, a mother of 3 but I suspect she could be anorexic judging from the bones sticking out from her arms!

Recently one of my colleagues lost 26 pounds in 6 weeks by taking this Herbalife product! Can you imagine that? I feel like having a go at it but I'm just sceptical about all these weight loss products - what's in there that make the pounds melt away! Plus it's not like I'm chomping down food or anything like that! Actually my post pregnancy appetite has gone from bad to worse. I can't finish my meals most of the time and I dun feel hungry even during lunch these days. Strange isn't it. I was also thinking about trying out Marie France Bodyline's professional treatments but that's gonna cost plus I dun think I'll have the time to engage in this frivolty right now especially since Jeremy takes up most of my weekend. I guess I'll just weigh myself in a month's time and stick to black coloured clothing for the time being!

are u still breastfeeding? If yes it should help u to shed at least 1kg a month. I've lost all my 2nd preggy one with breastfeeding. Now I'm loosing those from 1st preggy one too. If not, cut down on carbs, it'll help:)
