We went down to Singapore last weekend for a short R & R. Since it was the Great Singapore Sale, we managed to get quite a lot of stuff at bargain prices. I bought some books from Borders at 20% discount and mind you these books were new arrivals and not old stock that the store had difficulty getting rid off! I also got Jeremy some Baby Einstein mini books (SGD11) and a cloth book (SGD3) which were like dirt cheap! We went to Takeshimaya as well and bought some clothes for Jeremy. I got a T-shirt and shorts for him for like SGD6 !! I managed to get some cool zen-looking place mats from the household fair held on the ground floor which were selling at SGD2.90 each! And a trip to Singapore would not be complete if we didn't go to Ya Kun. I bought like 8 jars of their famous kaya! The best thing was while heading back to JB, the Malaysian custom officers didn't even bother to check out our car as we zoomed past the Green lane at the Causeway! That's certainly a first for us especially since we have been using the Causeway for years to get to Singapore!
Jeremy back from Singapore!
