Singapore - Day 1 - Journey and Check In

Our journey to Singapore started at 10.30am and the weather did not look promising. It drizzled halfway through our journey and did not subside until we reached Singapore at 3.00pm. We scrambled to the nearest 7-11 to get a cashcard and top-up the value on our autopass. The traffic in Singapore was building up rapidly and Brain was avoiding all routes with the ERP gantry.
Jeremy missed his lunch throughout the journey and I had to substitute his porridge with bread and some vitamin c juice. After checking in at Sheraton Towers and lugging all our luggages (bags, slow cooker, food, water, potty, toys etc) to the 17th Floor, we headed out again for a really late lunch. Brain wanted to go to NYDC, at Wheelock Place, a teenage hang out which he used to frequent in his youth. We had a quick lunch and I fed Jeremy his pre-cooked porridge while he occupied himself by playing with some soft toys on the seats. He was obviously starving as he gobbled all of it in a matter of seconds. We didn't do any window shopping as we were pretty exhausted and Jeremy was badly in need of an afternoon nap. We went back to the hotel, unpacked and let Jeremy unwind a bit before he fell asleep. He was quite excited about his new surroundings and as such, took a longer time than usual to fall asleep. However, halfway through his nap, my friend called to confirm on the meeting place for our brunch the next day. The call woke and upsetted him greatly. Nothing we did could console or pacify him until I gave him a small little flask to fiddle with and that did it. He played with it, while I started fixing his dinner. Brain got ready to go to his 20th annivesary RI reunion at Suntec City. I ordered room service. I ate and fed him and after that it was exploring time for master Jeremy. He cruised along the bed and furniture, opened and closed the drawers and cupboards, leaned against the mirrored bathroom door making funny faces and played with his matchbox cars on the bed. I was watching Cicakman on the Suria Channel for awhile and this caught his interest as he is rather afraid of lizards - at home when we want to deter him from wandering off to another place or area in the room, we will warn him not to go there as the Chak Chak lives in that area. Sometimes he will buy the fib but sometimes he will just ignore us. He was quite active that night and only doze off at 10.45pm which is really late for him. Brain came back to the hotel at 11pm with loads of stories to tell but I was too knackered after a long day travelling. All of us called it a night at 11.30pm.
