Singapore - Day 3:Checked Out and Homeward Bound
We got up early then usual and headed out for some roti canai on Thomson road. After that we drove around Bukit Timah (District 11) and Thomson Road looking at the substantial number of bungalows (single family houses and duplexes) and condominiums which dotted these areas. Brain was telling me that unless you are a Singaporean or is married to a Singaporean, you can't acquire landed properties (houses) in Singapore. I must say that the exterior architectural design of some of the homes are quite impressive. It could be years before I could even think of remodelling my home to resemble the beautiful homes in Singapore . *lol*. Jeremy was rather sleepy this morning and took a nap in the car while we drove around. We had tim-sum for brunch and checked out of the hotel at 1pm after feeding Jeremy his porridge. Jeremy was cranky by the time we reached the Tuas Immigration Check Point and begged to be taken out of his child seat. I tried to distract him by the Light and Buggy Driver which I strapped on his carseat. That occupied him for a while and he was pretending to be Michael Schumacher ( with the F1 car sound effects - you know the insane, high pitch sound of a v8 engine ) for a good half hour before he started to get restless again. Quite surprisingly, he didn't fuss at all during our entire trip from KL to Singapore on the 1st day. Maybe he didn't nap enough during our 3 days in Singapore. Anyway, he fussed so much and his wails were getting louder and louder. I couldn't bear to see his tear stained face - he was so miserable. I had to take him out of his carseat - which I rarely do and that quietened him down a bit. After awhile, he fell asleep on my chest. He napped for a good 2 hours and woke up as soon as we reached KL. It was perfect timing.

PR in Singapore can apply to buy property for own stay. My cousin did just that and got approved.
I like the toy strapped on the seat for Jeremy. May I know where did you get that?
Etcetera~Mommy: Really - didn't know that. I thought you need to be married to a Singaporean before you can even buy a landed property i.e house. As far as I know, provate condos and apartments are never an issue
The toy that I got for Jeremy is called the ELC light and buggy driver. You can get it from any ELC (early learning centre) store in Malaysia or Singapore. He is really hooked on it and serves as a distraction on long journeys
