Many faces of Jeremy at 22 months old

As always quoted : "A picture tells a thousand words"

The two pictures above depict how an increasingly responsive Jeremy 'freezes', an act he learnt from the Gymboree class where a song is played and the children are expected to pound on the airlock and as soon as the music stop, everyone is supposed to say "FREEZE" and put their hands at the back of the head. He absolutely enjoy this segment of the class and pound the airlock furiously.

And of course, Jeremy could not do without his favourite dog nowadays. He is quite possesive of his dog and wouldn't let other children come near it. Same with his matchbox cars - doesn't like other children playing with it unless they are playing with him.

Note from Pinky:
Vocabulary wise, Jeremy knows almost all the alphabets now . Can count till 5 and form three letter sentences. Has a good memory too as he knows that Brain went to Japan on a plane even after 3 days he has left. He even wanted to follow Brain to the immigration area when we were at the airport sending Brain off 2 weeks ago. He knows how to pronounce his name and also mine especially when I ask him what is mummy's name. Still addresses Brain and myself as Dada and Mama. However, he still has an irrational fear of moving objects like battery operated cars, carousels at the malls and other electronic toys. Hopefully he will overcome this as he gets older.

Hi... notice you sent your little one to Gymboree.. So is it worth it? I used to send my boy there when he was about 8 months...after 12 lessons... i stopped.. found most things I can do it at home with him... So what do they teach now? speech? or still mostly play?
Hope you can give me some feedback... :)

Yes, he will if you stay calm and show it's nothing to be afraid of. Lucas used to be afraid of the vacuum cleaner and run for cover, yelling!

I remain calm each time and just say, "This is a vacuum cleaner - see, Mummy clean the floor. It's noisy - see, this is where the noise comes from. Vroom, vroom etc" He'd listen but still keep his distance.

Now, he wants to do the vacuuming himself :)
